Ok Im so excited about Annie and Matt’s wedding at the end of the month. Annie called me and said “I love my wedding dress so much that I could wear it every day and want to have a bridal session”. Well we did just that. It was such a “magical morning” as her mom kept saying while we were shooting. Both of them were right! Annie’s dress is gorgeous and the morning was magical. So I have to post 1 image of Annie that shows how beautiful she is but with out showing her dress just yet - solution - her vail rocks! I can’t wait to play more with it on her wedding day. Stephen is a local actor here in Richmond and he is a Notary Public serving the Commonwealth of Virginia. Well he’s got himself a new web site coming out and needed some head shots. So we met up in the financial district of the city for a life style session and here are a few of what we got. So if you are ever in the market for a Notary Public, Stephen is your man!  

Alysia and I met up in CaryTown on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and got us some amazing shots! I love high school senior session. It’s a time in their lives that they can act like a super model, a rock star, do what ever they want and they will do what ever I want. Thanks for a fresh & fun afternoon!

Monica + Cory were married on September 6th. Little Miss “Hanna the Hurricane” blew into town in the AM and when she blew away in the late PM leaving us with some amazing light and sky.  Monica + Cory were so relaxed, so much fun and are so in love! Monica you have yourself one fun loving hubby! See I know this because my hubby and I have known Cory for close to 4 years. So when he called to hire me to shoot his wedding I was over come with joy and honor! Oh and the best part I was ordered to have fun, like I don’t anyway when I shoot a wedding, but they wanted me to still be a guest. So after all the most important things were shot I loosened up, had a few beers and danced with my Hubby. Of course I have tons of faves so I made a few collages so I could post more pictures. And I just love how they tell a story.

Posh Belly Boutique is one of the most stylish, posh and adorable maternity stores that just opened her doors in Richmond. Owners Mindy and Beth are two amazing & fun loving women, and guess what?  They asked me if I would decorate their walls with my work!!!! I am so honored and greatly appreciate how much they love my work. Every time I walk out of the store my head won’t fit through the door. See being a photographer/artist we are our own worst critics. This opportunity has made me love what I do even more! It is so cool to see my work on walls other than my own. Mindy and Beth held an open house last Friday and of course I had to go and shoot. All you PG women out there in need of some POSH maternity wear, this is the store for you!

Tammy the beautiful bride in her chic wedding dress made for Sandals Resort’s by Dessy & Doug looking so handsome in his Tux had a wonderful, intimate, happy & detailed wedding on August 30th. It was so wonderful to see Doug’s Mom, Sister & her husband again (remember I shot Doug’s sisters wedding 5 years ago) and too meet Tammy’s family and her VA Beach “Girls”. Thank you for letting me capture all your hard work. Hope you guys enjoyed your “hello” two week honymoon! Enjoy some of my faves!

This killed me - Im an all digital photographer. While I was shooting the formals Doug’s sister whips out her camera to take a shot of some family members. When I saw what kind of camera she had I had to snap a shot. Girl I praise you for still shooting with film. 

You all might remember that this past spring I had a chance to photograph Miss Southeastern Virginia’s Outstanding Teen, Miranda Harrison. It was a great day and we took tons of pictures, and it has led me to future opportunities. This week I have been asked to be the official photographer for the Miss Piedmont Region Scholarship Program. It is a Miss Virginia local and the director is a good friend of mine. I will be there taking photos of all of the contestants this February. It should be a very fun and busy day, but I really look forward to seeing how creative I can get. The winner from Miss Piedmont Region will get a photo shoot with me and she will compete for Miss Virginia in June 2009! She may even be Miss America one day! The people you meet doing this job!  I can’t post with out a picture, so here is one from Miranda’s session. See how much fun you can have with a crown! 

How I love this awesome fun family. Their little honey moon baby is the cutest ever! I just loved hugging and squeezing and kissing and photographing him. Enjoy!

Wendy’s wedding is all set for the end of September and she is going to be one beautiful bride. Thank you for the honor to shoot your bridal portrait. Here is one of my favorites that I hope won’t give too much away. 

oh but I do have to give this detail away because they are just gorgeous!

V is in her last year at VCU and is ready to take on the world. She also loves photography and the art of it. I found V and her willingness to have some fun a breath of fresh air. At first my whole idea was a “trash the dress” session,  well we kinda did it but I feel this became more of a fun fashion session. We ventured into the unknowns of Richmond and the only thing that got hurt was a poor bum’s feelings when he wanted to be in a picture with V and she politely turned him down. This session gave me such a great feeling of love for my craft and creativity. See you don’t have to be a couple, have kids, be in high school to have a lifestyle session. Thanks for a great time Veronica and a big shout out to Dayna of Vamps and Vixens : Makeup Studio here in Richmond for doing V’s makeup and hair. Girls you so rock!
